Whiskeys are very complex by nature, whether they be Scottish, Irish or bourbons from the Kentucky and Tennessee regions. Each is defined by its unique combination of flavours and how then interacts with the palate as well as the nose. The below essences are aimed at each adding a specific characteristic to a brew that when combined will produce a full flavoured and well balanced whiskey.


- 4 different whiskey blends to be used as starting bases
-Oak Cask: A dominant matured-in-oak flavour
-Sweet Vanillin: A slight vanilla flavour, sweet on the palate and indicative of a barrel aged whiskey.
-Peat Smoke: The backbone of Scottish whiskey. A dominant and somewhat pungent peat flavour.
-Astringent Notes: Bitter or sharp flavours often referred to as bite.
-Fruity Esters: provides a rich aroma.
-Cereal Notes: Bolsters the grain like undertones of a whiskey.
-Carob Notes: Imparts a light chocolate flavour as well as hints of roasted grains.
-Cedar Oak: A drier oak cask flavour, works well in Irish blends.
-Distillers Caramel: Adds a slight toffee or burnt sugar flavour.
-Glycerine: Found in most commercial brand, this product increases the smoothness and mouthfeel of your favourite blend.
