A trick to improve any basic beer kit.

There is a very simple trick you can use to improve the quality of any basic kit beer you make. It's this:

IGNORE ANY INSTRUCTION TO USE ORDINARY SUGAR IN YOUR BEER . .
USE QUALITY BREWING SUGARS INSTEAD.

In fact, I've already given you this hint when I told you to use glucose or dextrose in the brewing instructions on the "how to" page.

There is a good reason for this. Ordinary sugar tends to put a cidery or fruity taste into you beer which definitely reduces it's drinking quality.

Quality brewing sugars, (glucose, dextrose and malt), do not have this fault. So, if you can avoid using ordinary sugar & use a good quality brewing sugar instead, your beers will always taste better. You will notice that most kit manufacturers tell you to use ordinary sugar. This is because sugar is available everywhere. If they told you to use special brewing sugars which are not available in supermarkets, you might not buy their kit & that will affect sales.

However, good brewing suppliers can always help you.

The BREWCRAFT brand has a wide range of simple & blended brewing sugars for you to use to make all sorts of really good beers. All you need to do is use one of the BREWCRAFT BREWBLENDS instead of sugar to make much better beers. Look for BREWCRAFT BREWBLENDS at you brewing supplier.
